Project details:
The NUYI line is a line of children’s furniture and toys for early childhood. We wanted to combine two different materials, one soft and colorful (EVA foam) with another warm and firm, like guatambu plywood. Both complement each other and allow the creation of relaxed shapes.
We take advantage of the qualities of each material. The EVA bends generating structural tension and forms curvatures in its morphology.
As it is made in Argentina, simple manufacturing technologies such as CNC and foam cutting were used.
These products have simple pieces and are assembled by snap-fits without third elements. This improves the manufacturing and logistics processes. It turns out to be sustainable at the time of disposal, being able to separate them very easily.
