Project details:
This design consists of a set of 3 ceramic pieces shaped like lentils, mung beans and quinoa. These pieces help germinate the seeds according to their growth process; It also encourages adults and children in a playful way to connect with their food, to be patient to take care of a seed and to see how life springs from them.
Studio Profile:
Gianfranco Palomino is an industrial designer (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú – 2010; ELISAVA, Barcelona – 2014) and Master in research in art and design (EINA Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona – 2016). His works focus on artisan objects made by artisans and new digital manufacturing technologies. He founded Catedral, a ceramic house in Peru whose thematic axis revolves around culture as an ingredient of design. He designs and produces pieces in high temperature stoneware at 1250 ° C, as well as experiments in pastes and enamels with native clays.
