Project title: Earthink
Project details:
Didactic tool designed to cook and extract the color of some vegetables. Created according to the principles of eco-design with the aim of discovering new ways to enhance learning and add value to people. Through a process of extraction of vegetable dyes by steam cooking, students discover the world of plant biology, express themselves by painting and cook delicious recipes to take advantage of the product from which the color has been extracted. The tool is made up of four pieces of borosilicate glass. Thanks to its transparency we can observe the processes, thus enhancing the learning experience.
Studio Profile:
We are Alejandro Sanz & Andrés Ramírez, good friends and designers (graphic and product design). We met at university and sooner than later we connected thanks to our common interests and thanks to sharing the same way of understanding the world.
As designers, we feel the duty of bringing consciousness to future generations and make them understand that nature is our biggest source of resources. That is the principle that determines the value of all our work.
During our journey we have been lucky to collaborate on projects with companies such as Canon Europe, the Institute of Cognitive Neurology of Buenos Aires (INECO), elBulliFoundation, or the Govern de les Illes Balears.
